Express Payment

The Express Payment feature is typically available only in modules that support renewals, such as the Business Licensing module. This feature allows for simple and efficient fee payment of multiple case fees using check payments that have been received or mailed to your office.

Feature Use

The first step is to filter the data grid down to licenses or cases that may be paid. This is typically done by setting a status of “Pending” and any other needed filters.

You do not need to take a lot of time fine-tuning the filters, as you will select what cases you want to actually pay in the next screen.


Next, click on the “Express Payment” action.

This will bring up the payment selection screen:

For any case that should be paid, simply click on the checkbox for the license or case, verify the amount being paid is correct, and enter the check number.

Once all payments have been entered, click on the “Pay” button.

This will process all payments and update any cases as appropriate. If any logic is being used that issues the case on payment and updated its status, that logic will also be done now. After the process is complete you will have the option to generate and export all paid licenses.

Only cases that have a status of “Active” will generate a certificate/license document. If you have rules that prevent issuance due to other requirements, those cases will not generate a document, since they are not yet ready for issuance.
