Case Management
This documentation outlines the features and functions available on many of the cases in MAGNET.
A “case” can be any item in a MAGNET module, such as a parcel, a permit, a license, etc.
The available features on a case may differ based on the module being utilized. This documentation will highlight if a item or feature is restricted to certain modules.
Case Deletion
In some situations, it may be necessary to delete a case in MAGNET.
This can be done by selecting the Delete Case option from the “Select Action…” menu.
This option is controlled by permissions. If you do not have access to this option, please contact your manager to have them request MAGNET Support to make this permission available to you.
Case Flags
MAGNET utilizes Flags to allow for adding notes that should be shown to any user accessing the case. Depending on which module the flag is added to, the flag may behave different.
By default, when a flag is added to a case, it will only be shown on the case it is added to. The exception to this, is when a flag is added to a parcel case, it will also be displayed in the new case wizard when creating a new case on the property.
Case Linking
Case Linking allows for the creating of relationship between one or more cases. The available cases that can be linked will be configured by CSI to only allow the appropriate cases to display when searching for a related case. Case linking allows for the viewing of related active cases, for example allows for tracking of landlords linked to rentals, technicians linked to massage establishments, etc.
