Case Linking

Overview

Case Linking allows for the creating of relationship between one or more cases. The available cases that can be linked will be configured by CSI to only allow the appropriate cases to display when searching for a related case. Case linking allows for the viewing of related active cases, for example allows for tracking of landlords linked to rentals, technicians linked to massage establishments, etc.

Additionally, the case linking will maintain the linking of cases through the renewal process. When cases are renewed, the linking will remain between the Active cases, until the Pending case is issued, then the links will be updated. The links on current cases will always be linked to the appropriate active cases.

Creating Links

When configured, the case links can be added or managed by the New Case Wizard or through the “Select Action…” menu.

When creating a new case, if configured, the case linking section will be displayed. Depending on the configuration required, the linking section may only be displayed upon selecting one or more application types.

After a case is created, case links can be added or manage by selecting the "Linking Case(s)" option from the “Select Action…” menu.
