This section provides details and instruction on the basics of managing inspections in MAGNET. This includes, creating, scheduling and completing inspections through the MAGNET Backoffice.

Inspection Creation

From the Inspections tab on a case, new inspections can be added to the case by selecting the “Create New Inspections” drop-down.

This dropdown allows for the selection of one or more of the available inspections on this case.

After selecting the needed inspections, simply click on the “Create” button to add the inspections to the case.

The inspections are displayed in line on the inspections page and allow for the scheduling, editing, or result entry of the inspection.

Scheduling an Inspection

To schedule an inspection, click on the “Schedule Inspection” tab on the inspection you would like to schedule.

After selecting this tab, you will see the scheduling options:

Click on the “Manual Schedule” option to continue scheduling the inspection.

Now you can select the inspector that should be assigned to this inspection as well as the date the inspection should be completed, and the time frame the inspection should occur within.

After entering all the needed information, click on the “Schedule Inspection” button to schedule the inspection.

This will update the inspection to now be scheduled.

Recording Inspection Results

After the inspection has been done in the field, the results of the inspection can be entered into the MAGNET system by selecting the “Record Results” tab

After clicking on this tab, you will be able to record any comments made on the inspection, as well as upload any images taken, if applicable, and set the final result of the inspection

Inspection Result Notification

The inspection result notification allows for staff to easily notify clients of the results or their inspection once it has been completed.

Once the completed inspection has been selected from the Inspection tab on the case, you will now see the option to “Print Summary Report” and “Send Notification” in the bottom right

Inspection report buttons
  • Print Summary Report

    • This option will generate the inspection summary report and allow for the printing or mailing of the letter

  • Send Notification

    • This option allows for the direct emailing of the inspection summary report to any contacts that have an email address on the case

The inspection summary letter will include all comments made on the inspection as well as any pictures attached to those comments
