Files Tab

The MAGNET Files Tab allows for enhanced management and viewing of case files. The intention of this tab is to allow for easy viewing, searching, and management of case documents.

This tab is controlled by permissions. If you do not see this tab available, please contact your system administrator to request the appropriate permissions.

This tab is available in most modules in MAGNET and will be shown with the other tabs, such as the “Edit” and “View” tabs.

Files Tab Features

Categories

By default, there are three categories or folders available:

  • General

    • This category hold all general files or those with no category assigned

  • Process Steps

    • This category holds all documents attached to a Process Step

  • Client Uploads

    • This category holds all documents uploaded from the Self-Service Portal.

Additional categories can be added upon request

The File Tab allows for easily setting entire categories of documents to “Restricted” or changing the portal visibility of the documents by clicking the checkbox for the appropriate option in the table header.

Managing Documents

You can utilize the checkboxes or the action buttons to manage individual documents.

Restricted

Clicking on the “Restricted” checkbox for a document will make the file restricted, so only users with the proper permission can access the file.

 

 

Portal

Clicking the “Portal” checkbox for a document will set or remove the file from the Self-Service Portal

 

 

 

 

Action Buttons

The action buttons allow for additional management of individual files.

 

 

Delete the document

Edit file information

 

Opens the file edit dialog, which allows for editing the file name, description, category and “Restricted”/”Portal” flags

 

 

Shows the file history dialog, which allows for a deeper review of actions on a particular file
