Note

SMS Messaging is handled through a third-party provider. There is a cost based on the number of message segments sent, which will be billed monthly unless other arrangements are made.

...

If a contact would like to opt-out of receiving text messages, the contact can be updated on the case to no longer receive text messages. This is done by editing the contact on the case and unchecking the “Receive Texts” checkbox. Make sure you update all related cases by selecting the related cases at the bottom of the contact update screen to update all cases with this contact.

Warning

Be aware.
If there are multiple contacts on the case that have the same email address, the most restrictive option for receive texts will be used. So if one contact type is set to receive texts and another contact type with the same email address is not, no texts will be sent.

...

In addition to the Licensing, Maintenance and Support costs for the SMS feature, there will be additional charges based on the number of messages message segments sent.

Info

A "messagesegment" is considered any text message up to 320 characters in length. If a "messagesegment" is greater than 320 characters than it will be considered more than one message .Pricing is based on "segments", not the actual number of texts sent. A segment is the message charterer count broken up into 320 character pieces. Most messages are two segments.

Per message pricing is billed by the third-party integration service TwilloTwilio. We do not charge any extra per fee message and will bill the costs per the agreement with the client as incurred.
